Beaver Creek Ski Resort
Beaver Creek may be nearby Vail’s little brother, but it should not be overlooked as there is some fantastic skiing and snowboarding on offer.
It may be one of North America’s newest resorts, but Beaver Creek has quickly made it on to the list of premier US resorts. Much of its recognition comes from hosting annual World Cup races on the Birds of Prey racetrack as well as three separate ski racing World Championships, but there is much more to the resort than just racing. The tree-lined slopes offer some fantastic variety, from the gentle greens in Bachelor Gulch to the steep blacks on Grouse Mountain, there is something for everyone here.
Service has always been high on the Beaver Creek resort agenda and it really focuses on providing an upmarket experience for guests. Much of the base village has heated pavements to make getting around easy, free hot chocolate and free cookies are handed out on the slopes and all of the staff are incredibly friendly. There are also lots of accommodation options, either on the hill or down in the town of Avon at the base of the lift network.
