They say

The Deacon 74 redefines the way you experience the slopes. It unites an ultra-competitive with a playful concept and allows you to ski super agile and tight turns with maximum creativity

We say

As is normally the case from Volkl, this is a ski that immediately makes its high quality construction apparent. The dampening is very effective, this allows the Deacon to put out a super smooth ride in any conditions. That smooth ride is matched up to very high levels of edge grip, which gives the skier lots of confidence when really cranking it. It felt best suited to longer, faster arcs where it felt rock solid and confidence inspiring. This is a solid, well built ski that would give strong skiers a lot of satisfaction when going for big arcs

Can really feel the high quality in this ski. Great dampening, strong edge hold, can really crank it
Dougie Mill
Strong ski that likes to go fast. A really good construction makes for a ski that’s suited to an aggressive skier
