Line Soulmate - 2014

The Soulmate is built with the same technology and construction design as the men’s line-up, but with a lighter wood core. It uses a cap on the top for light and responsive performance, combined with sidewall over the edges for a smooth, solid feel.

The main feedback from the test team was that it was bouncy, fun and light! It has heaps of character, with a poppy flex and a reactive sidecut. These combined to produce a ski that - at 98mm underfoot - is surprisingly lively, both on and off piste. The fat shape adds to the tip-and-tail rocker to give lots of float. And it’s accessible and easy to use for first timers in deep snow. Like many women-specific skis we tried, the Soulmate does have limits on its speed, feeling less stable and sure as the pace gets ramped up.
