Ski Club’s Peter Davies along with our Ski Club members and staff tested Bollé’s NEVADA goggles in the Austrian resort of Lech. Find out how the goggle performed.
The NEVADA goggles were launched in 2018 to celebrate Bollé’s 130th year and have now become one of the leading goggles in the ski industry.
Bollé says these goggles have “the perfect combination between style and technology” and this certainly seems to be true in terms of aesthetic. The cylindrical lens has a slightly retro aesthetic, but the high-tech feel and rimless design keep the overall look up to date. Straight out of the box the goggles felt light and modern with the minimal look which is right on trend and matching up nicely to most ski outfits and styles, from piste lover to all-mountain charger to powder hound.
In Lech, we mostly had bright blue skies for the week, however, the weekend saw a snowstorm, which was a good test for the lenses. The Phantom lens technology allowed for good protection for my eyes in bright conditions and performed well in low light to increase visibility. The no frame design allows for a wider range of visibility too and I personally think it looks more aesthetically pleasing.
